Whether employee or consumer, in human resources or in marketing, business relationships are shaped by the way people think and act. Those who want to successfully lead a team or be able to shape customer opinions, require knowledge of business psychology in addition to corporate management. The Bachelor’s program, Psychology & Management, combines these two fi elds in order to prepare graduates for careers in personnel management or market research / marketing. The compulsory module, Consulting, offers students the knowledge they need not only to work within a company, but also to establish themselves as human resource or marketing consultants. In addition to theoretical understanding, students are given the opportunity to train their consultancy skills. Those who opt for the elective modules, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, will learn the necessary skills for mastering the challenging demands of human resources. The more marketing oriented modules, Marketing and Consumer Psychology & Marketing Research, help students to develop the competency to analyze and infl uence consumer behavior. Internationality and practice-oriented learning are key aspects of this study program. In addition to foreign language courses, the program includes a compulsory and an elective semester abroad. Students also have many opportunities to apply their skills in a practical way during compulsory internships in Germany and abroad as well as participation in hands-on business projects. Psychology & Management graduates are qualified for positions in personnel or marketing departments of international businesses, in media and market research companies, or as human resource or business consultants.
