Increasing competition has raised awareness of the importance of management competencies in all sectors. This also applies to the energy industry where a fundamental knowledge of energy management has also gained in significance. An initial degree can prepare you for a successful start in your professional life. However, even academics require continual further education in the area of energy management in order to keep abreast of the dynamic changes in the field.
As a result, a second, part-time executive MBA program is destined to become an educational standard in Germany in the future. Particularly in the field of energy management, a specialized qualification plays a pivotal role. This includes both a fundamental theoretical knowledge of energy management as well as the ability to reflect on what has been learned and to apply that knowledge to concrete situations. Its long years of experience in application-oriented education was already evident in the development of the ISM’s first MBA program "General Management."
The ISM developed the curriculum for the MBA Energy Management in cooperation with the energy companies E.ON AG and RWE AG in order to educate potential management candidates to precisely meet the needs of the energy industry.
