With the increase in world-wide transactions, new chances as well as risks arise. Financial experts must not only be capable of working professionally within the financial system, but must also be able to refine it. Their tasks include developing new and cost-effective methods to enable growth in company investments and new products, markets and research without financial loss.
The Master of Science Degree in Finance prepares students for this challenge. Building on the knowledge they gained from their Bachelor degrees, they will acquire comprehensive professional skills and social competences within a period of three semesters plus the time writing their Master’s thesis.
The main focus of the Finance Master of Science Degree lies in Finance Management. Additionally, students can expand their knowledge in fields such as taxes, law and analysis.
Internationality is an important part of the Finance Master. Students spend one semester abroad and get to know the regional peculiarities of financial management. Meanwhile, they also acquire both general as well as specific foreign language skills.
To prepare the prospective financial experts for their future jobs in the best possible way, the ISM also places great emphasis on a practical approach. In numerous projects the students must use their theoretical knowledge in real problems experienced by companies and present results of their teamwork. Students also gain hands-on work experience through integrated internships.
