MBA General Management (MBA GM)

International Experience

Like all ISM study programs, this part-time degree program reflects the ISM’s international focus. More than 25 percent of the MBA General Management program is offered abroad, including four study modules at renowned partner universities in the USA, in Brussels, India and Hong Kong. Students are immersed in the respective culture and deepen their industry knowledge in an international context. At the same time, participants of the MBA program learn to engage in different work and communication styles as well as learning how to successfully work together to achieve their aims. Courses are taught in English. In addition to the four study modules abroad, the program includes English lectures by experts from prestigious international universities.

Module in the USA

The University of California, Riverside is one of ten universities within the prestigious University of California system. It is a major research university and national center for the humanities offering students a supportive, collegial learning environment with nationally and internationally recognized faculty. Widely known as one of the most ethnically diverse research universities in the nation, UCR's current enrollment is over 19,000 students. For ISM students the lectures “Multinational Finance & Trade” and “Innovative Marketing Techniques” are part of the MBA General Management program.

Module in Brussels

Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (SBS-EM) is a leading school of economics and management located in Brussels. Host to the European Commission as well as European base for a large number of international corporations, institutions and lobbyists, Brussels provides an excellent study environment. SBS-EM is closely connected with Brussels’ multinational entrepreneurial network. This is clearly evidenced by the large number of lecturers held by experts from the field and a clear focus on applied research. ISM students attend “Managerial Economics” and “European Economic Integration.”

Module in India

The Indian Institute of Management, Indore is one of the renowned management institutes in India. Established in 1996, it is the youngest member of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). The institute was established in Indore in order to give an impetus to management education in central India and has become a pioneer in the field of management. One of the top 10 business schools in India, the IIM Indore offers excellent programs for MBA aspirants as well as working professionals. For ISM students the lectures “Information Systems Management” and “Doing Business in India” are part of the program.

Module in Hong Kong

Established in 1937, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPolyU) enjoys a proud and illustrious history. Today, being one of the largest business schools in the Asia Pacific region, HKPolyU is internationally known for its excellence in career oriented teaching, innovative research, and unique programs. It maintains strong partnerships with business and industrial sectors and thus offers an excellent opportunity for students to learn about Asian business in action. Participants of the MBA General Management program at ISM attend “Strategic Sourcing” and “Doing Business in China.”
