Master's Program International Management

Degree:

Master of Arts (M.A.)

Target group:

Graduates who hold a university degree in Business Studies or Economics.

Period of study:

3 semesters, followed by a Master's thesis (full-time program only).

Aim:

A top-notch, praxis-oriented program in the field of International Business. Students acquire expert knowledge in International Management.
The first semester gives an overview over the international dimensions of the different scopes of business. In the second semester students have the option to focus on the following business areas: International Controlling, International Strategy & Business Development, International Human Resource Management or International Marketing. Depending on their career plans, students deepen their knowledge in the same areas in the international semester or choose courses in other specializations to broaden their business competencies.

Methods:

Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, and case studies. Students are required to participate in group and project work to train their problem-solving abilities and soft skills (teamwork, presentation techniques, etc.)

Language Training in French or Spanish in Dortmund
International Semester: English, French or Spanish (depending on partner university).

International module:

The three-semester program includes an international semester at the end of the program.

Applied Project:

Students must write a project report describing their results. In addition, students are also given the opportunity to gain further experience in corporations by participating in two additional applied phases.

Thesis:

Students write their Master's thesis after the third semester. The thesis should integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application.
