3 semesters, followed by a Master's thesis (full-time program only). |
Aim: |
A top-notch, praxis-oriented program in the field of Finance. Students acquire expert knowledge in Fincance.
The first semester provides students with a solid foundation in finance, supplemented by basic knowledge in law and accounting. In the second semester students have the option to focus on the following areas: Financial Theory, Financial Engineering, or Financial Planning & Communication. Depending on their career plans, students deepen their knowledge in the same areas in the international semester or choose courses in other specializations to broaden their finance competencies. |
Methods: |
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, and case studies. Students are required to participate in group and project work to train their problem-solving abilities and soft skills (teamwork, presentation techniques, etc.) |

German and English in Dortmund
International Semester: English, French or Spanish (depending on partner university).

International module: |
The third semester of the three-semester program is an international semester. |
Applied Project: |
An internship of 12 weeks length is also part of the Finance Master. |
Thesis: |
Students write their Master's thesis after the third semester. The thesis should integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application.
