Flight Arrangements

In Germany the regular carrier is Lufthansa, especially for overseas flights. For flights within Europe, there are various budget airlines (such as Air Berlin, Easyjet, LTU, German wings and HLX) which serve Dortmund-, Cologne-, and Düsseldorf airport. Please note that some of them only depart from selected destinations.

If you arrive from overseas, your destination airport would be Frankfurt. We advise you not to book a transfer flight to Dortmund, as our train system is very efficient and it will only take about 2 ½ hours from Frankfurt, 1 ½ from Cologne and 1 hour from Düsseldorf to Dortmund Central. If you arrive in Dortmund you can take the airport express which will take you to the city center of Dortmund, within less than 30 minutes. For further information please see: www.dortmund.de www.flughafen-dortmund.de. You can also take a taxi for about 25-30 Euros.
