Accommodation Search

Most ISM students live in shared apartments close to the university or in the South-western city centre. The ISM intranet provides a housing forum that lists available apartments or rooms. Prospective students may also post a room-or apartment search ad in this area. The ISM intranet housing forum is accessible via the general guest login (ISM-net > Gastzugang > Community > Wohnungsbörse). International study abroad students coming for 1 or 2 semesters should get in touch with the ISM international office if they prefer to live in a cooperating boarding house (the price for rooms range from 180 to 280€) or would like to live in a sublet room of an ISM student who is abroad at that time. A host family stay can be arranged upon request. You can also stay in a hostel for the first few days and then look for an appropriate flat or room upon arrival here in Dortmund. For temporary accommodation we would recommend you the centrally located hostel "Ruhgebiet". Please indicate on the application form if you want us to make a reservation in one of the boarding houses or in the hostel.

A great variety of apartments, both furnished and unfurnished, can be found on the notice board in the entrance hall of the ISM Dortmund as well as at the entrance of the "Mensa" of the nearby university of Dortmund.
